It's been a while since I experienced such a music overload that I had to gush. I think last time was around...when I marathoned Macross Frontier and listened to the OSTs over and over. Time for a new post :D/ All dl links lead to
bestfiction , which has a whoooole lotta music. It's members only but it's not approved membership so you can just join. Remember to thank the kind mods there for providing all this lovely stuff. 8D Listening links lead to YouTube as far as I can FIND listening links. Sorry for the long post gaiz. I warn you, I fail at identifying genres too. And I has opinions, which may differ from yours, hence the listening links. 8D
First off, (this is from July but still) we have Kuroki Meisa's first official single. Like This, released last year, was only a digital single. Now, the new single is titled SHOCK ~Unmei~, which is the title song, of course.
SHOCK ~Unmei~ is fast-tempo like most of Meisa's songs have been and her voice is still a bit rough around the edges, but fans will probably like it. The PV has a VERY Namie Amuro-esque feel to it but I'm not linking to that, so...hurr. Anyway, the B-side track is
Wasted. This has a more rock feel but reminds me of quite a few pop-rock songs I've heard down to some clichéd lines (
Oh no, baby, come again another day), which isn't to say it's bad, but imo the dance/hip-hop stuff suits her better. Still, not a bad listen, since I managed to fav. it on YT. XD The third track is
Bad Girl (BACHLOGIC Remix), which is...a remix of Bad Girl. It's pretty good but something about it annoys me. One of the background beats. Haha. But decide for yourself yo~ And lastly is the
SHOCK ~Unmei~ instrumental, which is what you can use for karaoke. It's really quite funky without the vocals and the classical music in the background are kind of amazing. :D Yay. And you can download the single
HERE.
Okay, next is Yamapi's new single, Loveless. There are three editions, each of them containing Loveless and its instrumental version, as well as two new songs...on each of them. So we get SEVEN new Yamapi songs! Luckily, bestfiction has compiled all the songs into one so you don't have to worry about that. Not sure I can find all listening links, unfortunately. Let's begin with
Loveless (I have directed you to a subbed PV here). Good beats and instruments. I didn't remember his voice being so high before but it has been a while since I heard him singing and the song is pretty good anyway. I...somehow don't have much to say 8D;;; SORRY. Next up (going by this dl) is
Crush On You, which has a more rock-ish feel to it and the majority of the lyrics are in English. Unlike MOLA, his voice doesn't have all the synth, so you can HEAR it. I'm liking this one. Then we have
Dance Jam, which goes to a pop-ish feel though something about it reminds me of jazz and something reminds me of R&B. XD Lots of English here too and his voice seems lower, which I feel more familiar with.
After The Rain is slow-paced and is more R&B, mainly piano in the music which sounds very very nice. It's almost a ballad. There isn't as much English here but if mispronunciation bugs you, you may not be a fan of how he says 'imagine' but it does NOT bother me 8D
Run From You is very very JT-esque (Justin Timberlake) to be honest. And the lyrics are all in English. Bits of it I can't quite follow without looking to the lyrics but he does very well anyway. I quite like this one as well. What we have next is
ME and it starts with a techno-pop vibe and keeps that up, with R&B coming from the lyrics more than the music. Turn this into an intstrumental and I wouldn't hear much R&B. It's all in English again and the lyrics are pretty naughty, I have to admit, but I'm not complaining AT ALL. Then we have
Moon Light to round off the non-karaoke tracks. It's musch like the others with an R&B thing to it, so we have a good idea of what direction Yamapi's going in as a soloist. It's slower-paced than most of the others but it's definitely not a ballad. It's mid-tempo. Lastly, for the karaoke nuts,
Loveless intrstumental. XD And the download is all the way
HEEERE! (It says pop rock and ballad but I get more RnB SO THERE WE HAVE IT I FAIL AT GENRES XD)
Om nom nom. Okay. Now, newest release. We all know Akanishi Jin from KAT-TUN. Well, he's making a solo name for himself with a temporary unit called LANDS which is the same name as the band in his movie, BANDAGE, has. Funnily enough, the single itself is called BANDAGE. There's just one track on this and it's...BANDAGE. So
BANDAGE is rock. Though it's under the bands name, you just really see Jin. To this day, Jin's voice is one of the most amazing I have ever heard and it's nice to be able to hear him solo again. Now I wanted to give a full song link but the short version PV will give a good idea of the song. And I'm gonna stop now before I go on a rant about how happy he seems doing this LANDS thing :D Download
HERE. In the same post is Kato Miliyah's new single so if you like her, bonus. XD
Turning around and tracking back to JUNE ahaha, we have flumpool's single MW ~Dear Mr. and Ms. Picaresque~/Natsu Dive. For this, I shall provide PVs because both songs are a-sides and there is no b-side! flumpool is an Osakan group who started out named as cube and then changed their name when they got a drummer. Things started really going well for them when they did the theme song for Bloody Monday, I think, and they're rising up from the depths of unappreciated indie. They're managed by Amuse Entertainment, just like Perfume, Sato Takeru and Miura Haruma. IMO, AMUSE NEEDS A FANDOM 8D Anyway, onto the actual single.
MW ~Dear Mr. and Ms. Picaresque~ is the theme song for the live-action movie adaptation of MW, a manga by the legendary Osamu Tezuka (more info on that over
here, you can't go wrong with Yamada Takayuki and Tamaki Hiroshi being borderline BL 8D). It's more rock than pop, for sure, and I really like it because they're good at that sort of thing.
Natsu Dive has a lighter feel to it, more pop-rock and it's got a very upbeat feel to it. The vocalist, Yamamura Ryuuta, has a very distinctive voice. Even the PVs reflect the feel you get from the songs. XD Download link is
HERE. Also, their first album is coming out next month. Glee!
I want to do the Playzone OST BUT I HAVE NO WORDS FOR THAT THING XD
Rounding off now, we have another Amuse rock group by the name of monobright. This wasn't uploaded by
bestfiction , so you'll have to download the songs separately. Download links are IN THE DESCRIPTIONS in my links. Now, I know next to nothing about these guys, since I only discovered them yesterday. Their new single is Kodoku no Taiyou. The title song is the theme for Miura Haruma's new drama, Samurai High School (also starring Shirota Yuu). I hiiiiiiighly recommend this drama 8D It's so much fun, omg. Anyway,
Kodoku no Taiyou reminds me of another group but I can't place which one! D: Still, it's an amazing song and the lead singer has an even more distinctive voice than flumpool's Ryuuta, maybe. :O The b-side is
SGS (tamageta version). Now I dunno what the original SGS sounds like but this has a quirky techo-ish vibe to it. Very repetitive but not bad...looking at it, maybe this IS the original SGS. Who knows.
And with that, I leave your flists alone. I hope SOMEONE finds something they like out of this mess. XD This took about an hour lol.
